Contains photographs of the following military units: 51st Signal Battalion; 227th Signal Pigeon Company; 4th Signal Battalion; 304th Signal Operations Battalion; 13th Signal Company. General description of the collection: The Elton F. Hammond photograph collection consists of two photographs of the West Point Class of 1919 and a large photo album containing snapshots of the period 1919-1935. The remainder of this collection covers Hammond's WWII, Korea War, and subsequent Far East service. The WWII photos are especially interesting. One box contains portrait photos of his friends and contemporaries.

Elton F. Hammond was a United States (U.S.) Army officer who served in World War I (WWI), World War II (WWII) and the Korean War.
